Interested in canoeing and kayaking in mid-Michigan? Join LOAPC!
Click here for a calendar of all LOAPC events on Meetup (free – registration required to view).
IMPORTANT: You must supply equipment to participate in our paddling trips. LOAPC does not own or rent boats or gear.
Our Meetup is free to join, and we’ll keep you in the loop on upcoming club events so you can get to know us. Non-members are free to participate in Club events as long as they sign our waiver of liability and agree to wear a life jacket while on the water and practice safe paddling.
Annual membership dues are $20 per individual, or $30 per household/family, payable in January and good for the entire year. We hope you’ll like us so much that you’ll want to become a dues-paying member and support paddling in Mid-Michigan.
To become a member, you need to do 3 things:
(1) Fill out our membership form/trip waiver and either mail it to the address at the bottom, or give it to a club officer or committee chair;
(2) Pay your dues: either enclose a check for the correct amount payable to LOAPC with your membership form, or pay online via PayPal;
(3) Join our Meetup group so you can sign up for our activities.

LOAPC is a 501(c)(4) non-profit corporation formed in 1987 to promote interest in all aspects of human-powered watercraft in the mid-Michigan area. We have been actively involved in the greater Lansing community on river clean-ups and river-related projects. LOAPC provides opportunities for people interested in canoeing, kayaking, and other quiet outdoor activities to meet people with the same interests and grow and develop their sport.
