To participate in any LOAPC outdoor event, you must read, complete, and sign the top half of our Waiver of Liability Form. Click the link to download and print so you can fill it out. Mail it to the address on the form, or give it to any Club officer.
You don’t have to pay dues and become a LOAPC member to participate in our activities, but we encourage membership for people who want to support paddlesports in mid-Michigan. Membership dues are considered a voluntary donation. Annual dues are $20 for individuals/$30 per household, payable starting October 1 of the previous year and good for the entire upcoming year. Dues paid after July 1 are half price and are good through October 1 of that year.
To become a member, you need to do 3 things:
(1) Fill out the entire Waiver of Liability Form and either mail it to the address at the bottom, or give it to a club officer or committee chair. (The form is fillable, but you still need to sign and date it by hand.) Household/family members – please complete a separate form for each adult Club member over 18 and add children under 18 in the space provided on the form. Only one $30 payment is required per household.
(2) Join our Meetup group by clicking here.
(3) Pay your dues one of two ways: either pay online via PayPal (click “Buy Now” below and choose membership type from the drop-down menu), or enclose a check for the correct amount payable to LOAPC with your release form. Please note that Meetup is our primary method of communicating trip information, so be sure to register.
